Medical University-
This was set up in 1960
and is now recognized amongst one of the most respected educational
institutions in China. Its founder Professor Wu Jieping, was a world-renowned
urologist. The university comprises 10 Schools, 14 affiliated hospitals and 1
teaching institution. The university has been recognized for creating the best
educational environment for medical students.
Southeast
University-
The university dates back
to 1902. It was established as Sanjiang Normal College. In May 1988, the
university was named as Southeast University. In April 2000, Nanjing Railway
Medical College, Nanjing College of Communications, and Nanjing Geological
School were merged into the university.
Wuhan
University-
Wuhan University was
established in 1893 by Zhang Zhidong. Since its inception, it experienced
several name changes and it was finally named Wuhan University in 1928. In
2000, Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electric Engineering, Hubei Medical
University and Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping were merged
with Wuhan University. This university directly comes under the control of the
Ministry of Education and has been honored as the Most Beautiful University inChina.” Moreover, this has obtained a place in the top 400 list of universities
in The Times Higher Education World University Rankings. This is in touch with
more than 415 universities and research institutes in over 45 countries,
Xiamen
University-
This was built in 1921 and has already produces more
than 200,000 undergraduates and graduates. The university offers 83
undergraduate programs, 276 graduate programs, 50 Master degrees in first-class
disciplines, 31 doctoral degrees in first-class disciplines, and 187 Ph.D
programs. The university has 2,678 full-time faculty and professional
researchers, including 1,713 professors and associate professors. The
university has tied up with over 270 institutions of higher education at home
and abroad.
Qingdao
University-
Located in Qingdao, Qingdao
University dates back to 1909. In 1993, Qingdao Medical College, Qingdao Normal
College, Shandong Textile Engineering College, and the former Qingdao
University were merged and named Qingdao University.
